About the event

Boundaries can sound simple until we actually have to set one.


For many LGBTQIA+ people, boundaries can feel complicated. We may have grown up managing other people’s comfort, hiding parts of ourselves, avoiding conflict, keeping the peace or feeling responsible for how others respond to who we are.


This can make it hard to say no, ask for what we need, step back from harmful relationships, or trust that we are allowed to protect our own wellbeing.


This Be/Here LGBTQIA+ Chit Chat is a gentle space to talk about boundaries without shame. We will explore why boundaries can bring up guilt, how people-pleasing can become a survival strategy, and what it might look like to protect our energy with more compassion.

This is not about becoming harsh or cutting everyone off. It is about learning that your needs matter too.
