Hi, I’m Vanessa from Be/Here — and I want to start by saying this: if you’re feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, numb, or like you’re constantly pushing yourself just to get through the day, you’re not broken. You’re responding to a world that often asks far too much and offers far too little in return.
Burnout isn’t just about work or being “too busy.” For many LGBTQIA+ people, it’s shaped by ongoing stress, masking, discrimination, caring responsibilities, financial pressure, and the quiet effort it takes to exist safely and authentically. Over time, that builds — and it makes rest feel complicated, undeserved, or even unsafe.
